Confessions of a Narcoleptic

You guys. This. This is the reason I thought about beauty blogging. This little product right HERE.

Let me explain. For the last couple of years, I have been breaking out like crazy. Worse than when I was in high school.  I have tried SO.MANY.PRODUCTS. to try and control my breakouts, but to no avail. (More posts on that later…) Until now.

I came across this little gem, Breakout Buster from the Rocky Mountain Soap Company, a month or two ago while shopping in Banff with a friend. She spoke highly of their other products, and I thought, I will try anything at this point, so I made the purchase. The Breakout Buster is supposed to help “calm and relieve acne spots and cold sores”. I don’t get cold sores, so I can’t report on it’s effectiveness there, but I have oh-so-many acne spots and I have used this product extensively since I bought it.

It is by far, one of the best beauty products I have ever bought. It works. It totally works. You are supposed to use it three times a day on the affected areas, but I usually just apply it at night. I have used it on new zits of every variety and older blemishes. I swear it speeds up the healing process, but I have no scientific proof of that. As for zits, let me tell you a story.

You know those underground zits you get? Those big, painful swellings under the skin that look similar to bug bites and seem to last forever? (Cystic acne…) I could feel one coming on, so I applied the Breakout Buster liberally and no word of a lie, that zit was gone in two days. GONE. Busted, some might say. If it hadn’t happened to me, I wouldn’t believe it. I’ve used it on other blemishes as well with similar results. Zits that normally would last for days, have simply disappeared. This is the best $10 I ever spent.

Have you ever tried Breakout Buster? What about other similar products? What did you think?
